Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

A fairly recent addition to the French city of Bordeaux, the Cite du Vin is a wine lover's paradise. This huge, world class interactive museum set within a striking a piece of modern architecture in the Bacalan district, has something for every wine taster, from the novice to the highly knowledgable connoisseur. The building itself is a feast for the eyes, sweeping curves throughout bring to mind the smooth surface of a wine bottle, the surrounding river creating the feeling of a waiting bottle chilling in an ice bucket. I blended a little texture with my original photograph.
I'm a travel photographer and photo artist. I like to explore every nook and cranny of anywhere I visit and I'm always looking out for something unusual or unique, weird and wonderful, interesting and intriguing. For me, half the challenge is in the initial taking of the photo, the looking for something that catches my attention, getting that perfect composition, but the other half is in the processing, the tweaking and twisting and the addition of a little imagination to see how much detail I can bring to the surface and hopefully let the viewer see the same as I did when I took the shot. My images have been shot here, there and everywhere, mainly in the historic cities of Europe and with the occasional one taken in my own surroundings...
