Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Home to the National Opera of Bordeaux, the Grand Theatre de Bordeaux was designed by French architect Victor Louis and was opened to the public in the year 1780. This impressive building has a neo-classical style facade and 12 Corinthian style columns reaching skyward to meet 12 statues representing muses and goddesses of the ancient world. The structure is located on Place de la Comedie, a busy, city centre thoroughfare for trams and pedestrians, and a popular meeting place for locals and visitors. I blended a little texture with my original photograph to compliment the historic feel of this old world French street scene.
I'm a travel photographer and photo artist. I like to explore every nook and cranny of anywhere I visit and I'm always looking out for something unusual or unique, weird and wonderful, interesting and intriguing. For me, half the challenge is in the initial taking of the photo, the looking for something that catches my attention, getting that perfect composition, but the other half is in the processing, the tweaking and twisting and the addition of a little imagination to see how much detail I can bring to the surface and hopefully let the viewer see the same as I did when I took the shot. My images have been shot here, there and everywhere, mainly in the historic cities of Europe and with the occasional one taken in my own surroundings...
